[cisco-voip] Map names for incoming extensions (ani)

CM cannot do this by itself.  It will only display the name provided  
in a display IE or other element provided by the voice gateway in the  
signaling for the call setup.  You could probably run the calls  
through an IPCCx CTI route point to set the calling name in a script.

We have an E1 gateway (C3725) connected to our old PBX system. This  
GW is connected to our Call Manager (4.0) with H323 and SIP trunk.  
Users from PBX can call Cisco IP Phones on Cisco Call Manager 4.0

I have found some TCL script @cisco’s web which should do this  
mapping but so far I haven’t managed to get it work yet.  
Unfortunately that script requires having this mapping (each record)  
in the running-config of the router. It would be perfect if it could  
be possible to read the data from some database or ldap or something  
like that :)



Do you know about any smart solution?
