Additionally, is there a way to leave a broadcast without lighting the
lamp? Octel used to be able to do this.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Unity Broadcast Messages

Anyone using Broadcast messaging on unity that could answer a question
for me?

We are looking at using it for our annual HR messages regarding
benefits. In the past we just send the message out to the All
Subscribers PDL. The problem with this is that it activates everyone's
MWIs and causes alot of busy signals on the system as people call in to
check the message. So we want to try the broadcast message method
instead and see if forcing them to listen to the whole thing will cause
fewer problems.

We would like to set it up so that once they listen to the entire
message, it doesn't play again for them. It seems unity can do this:

When a subscriber has finished playing a system
broadcast message, the message can either be replayed or permanently
deleted. Subscribers cannot respond to, forward, or save system
broadcast messages.

However I can't find where it says how to specify this behavior versus
playing the message every time until it expires. Anyone know how to do
this? I'd test it out myself, but I don't want to send out a broadcast
out to 2000 phones just to see how it works :)
