[cisco-voip] two questions: using meetingplace for audio conferencing; and do i need DSPs for SIP trunks?

two questions:
  a.. can i use things like meetingplace and meetingplace express for ad-hoc audio conferencing? i.e. can i remove the requirement for DSPs?
  b.. do i need DSPs if my PSTN connection will be a SIP trunk?
as they say at the bonspiel, "hurry!"
