Long story short you can configure up to 5 different synch agreements  
each with it's own user base.  You can just point at the root of the  
domain but if you want to exclude certain OUs, etc you can now.   
Figure 17-7 shows an example of this.

distinguished name: Administrator at voicelab11.com
user base: cn=Users,dc=voiplab11,dc=com

OR
distinguished name: dn=Administrator,cn=Users,dc=voiplab11,dc=com
user base: cn=Users,dc=voiplab11,dc=com
