enable CM service parameters for every server running CM in the cluster:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/
products_administration_guide_chapter09186a00803f5268.html#wp1037699
this allows each cm process to write cdr files to a local directory
make sure Cisco database layer monitor is enabled on every server in
the cluster.
this enables every server to copy their local files up to the
publisher cdr directory
Activate Insert CDR service on the publisher
this takes the flat files from directory and inserts them into CDR
database.
There are other services for CAR if you choose to use that.

For my own clarification, in a cluster what services etc. need to be
enabled so my CDR records have data from all CallManagers?

CAR only loads records from its install date forward. Reset the install
date, then purge your art tables.
In SQL in the art database in the table tbl_system_preferences.
To force reload of all data:
truncate table Tbl_Load_History
truncate table Tbl_Dump_Pkid
truncate table Tbl_Error_Id_Map
truncate table Tbl_Billing_Data
truncate table Tbl_Billing_Error
truncate table Tbl_Dump_CallDetailRecord truncate table
Tbl_Dump_CallDetailRecordDiagnostic
then restart the CAR scheduler service.

I did an upgrade of CM over the holiday break, but forgot to install CAR
until a few weeks afterwards. In looking at the CDRs I see them going a
ways back, but when I run a report it only gives me the option of
reporting on dates since install of CAR forward. Is there a way to get
those other records imported?
