Scott, thanks for the feedback
The bigest problem with the speed is waiting for the phone to generate and
send back the requested screen shot.
A 7940 can take upto 3 seconds to build and send its screen, our proessing
takes around 270-300ms to convert from the CIP picture format and display
it.
The Java based phones send 220K per screen, and on a local LAN take around
13 seconds to send each screen, since the jave phones send a standard BMP
format we dont convert it and therefore dont add any overhead.
Bottom line is we would love it to be faster but it comes down to the
processing time of the phones.
In future versions we are going to allow you to create a macro, send all the
keys then get a screen update.
When testing remote sites I usually leave the automatic screen updates
turned off and only download them when I need to see the screen, not on evey
key.
Again thanks for the feedback and we hope you find our tools usefull
