there is at least one upgrade failure that leaves the 7935 without an
operational SCCP load and it defaults back to a base vxworks image
that will not perform normal TFTP operations. Only way I know of
identifying that state is by sniffer capture of traffic to/from the
phone while booting.

I have a 7935 that is stuck in a reboot cycle. It boots says that it
is Obtaining an IP Address... then it says it gets an address, which
it flashes on the screen briefly. The IP address that flashes up
briefly is an IP that it would not get from the switch that I am
plugging it into, but one from the phones original location. The
screen then displays Cannot Contact TFTP Server... Well of course you
can't you did even get a correct IP :P It tries for a while then it
reboots.
I think this phone did not upgrade successfully from CCM 4.1(3)sr3a to
CCM 4.1(3)sr4, and it may have even been unplugged in the middle of
upgrading the phone load.
Is there a way to fix this phone or is it done?
Thanks,
