you have to associate the number with the mailbox... if you associate the phone it usually works... but if you used the telephony-service setup command to setup your CME it will ask you what the beginning of your DID range is 4045551... and it will put a command under telephony-service that prepends those digits... so if you called VM from extension 1111 it would hit unity as 4045551111, so you can either take out that command in telephony-service...or go into the CUE mailbox and add 4045551111 as the E164 number associated to that box....

Having issues with a cme cue configuration. When I press the voicemail button on the phone goes to cue and says please enter your id. I am on a phone that has a cue mailbox. When i call the phone and do not answer i get a busy signal.
If i put in the id when pressing the voicemail button I get for security reasons you must configure this mailbox from the primary mailbox.
Any ideas? Can i see the way the call is being forwarded to vm? meaning the digits being forwarded?
