[cisco-voip] 7985 question

I've worked with these at one place a long time ago, and if I recall correctly the screens on them went to powersave mode and turned off automatically by default after awhile.  Maybe try to default the phone. I've only worked with these model phones the one time however.

No I did not find any Idle URL for that Phone.
