[cisco-voip] Cisco 7920 wireless phones not taking with

Probably a stupid question, but is the DHCP server on the same Vlan as
the phone ... if not add a ip helper-address to the vlan interface to
point to the DHCP server.

Hi Ryan,

Thanks for more information.
Cross check CCM version .It is 3.3 (4) Sr2 and found document is Cisco
site for 3.3 (3) and 3.3 (4) caveats (CSCeb09099) that were resolved.

Thanks and Regards,
Ranjan

Definitely make sure you have the fix for CSCeb09099 - AD2003:
Upgrade to AD2003 fails because of incorrect labeledURI OID. It
caused a lot of headaches back in the day.

You also need to be aware of the new referrals introduced by AD 2003
when your search base is the root of the domain. If your DNS is set
up incorrectly or you have DCs over an unstable WAN (or just one with
high delay) from CM you will want to use the CM server's hosts file
to control which DCs it uses to contact forestdnszones,
domaindnszones, and your domain root (ie cisco.com).

Have you reset the phones to factory default?

Hello;

When dialing into the FXO port and then u got a dial tone then u r
hitting the hidden dial-peer 0 which gives u that tone this means that
ur call doesnot match any configured dial-peer, if u r running MGCP on
this FXO port then u will do ur configuration from callmanager as the DN
of this line this is equivalent to the connection plar opx in the H323
mode. In h323 mode and using the connection plar opx u need to make a
dial-peer for the router to when how to go to the extension u define in
the command connection plar opx, the command itself tell the router to
lookup its dialing plan to go to a specific extension, so still there
will be a need to a dial-peer to inform the router where to go.

That is correct, AFAIK, you don't need dial peers for
the FXO ports unless you're planning on sending calls
out them.

Thanks!!

I've not seen pre-manufactured cables like that, the way we've converted
our G.703 terminated ISDN lines to UTP is using baluns like

http://shrunk.net/6b4dec2d-www.blackbox.co.uk (search for G.703 balun if
the URL breaks)

They can also supply the BNC cables and the UTP side is just a UTP patch
lead. If you shop around you can probably find them a bit cheaper from
somewhere else but those will definitely do what you need.

David.

Hi !

If you can use a .NET library with all proxy classes for AXL, I can
unicast it to you.

I posted it a while ago on the list. It is tested with 4.1, but should
work with 4.2, too.

Not sure with 5.X, never tested it.

Let me know if you need it,

Alex
