[cisco-voip] 3rd Gen Phone NTP time question

I believe if you have CM 5.x where you can specifically set an NTP
server for the phone it will use that. Otherwise it will poll the CM
every morning at 3:15AM for the time and receives the time from CM
after every call made.
I don't know if the ERR in your console logs is related to CSCsh12444
or not.

Maybe related to the bug, CSCsh12444
I've been looking at some 3rd gen phones, and in the syslog console
logs on phone (web page), all the NTP entries have ERR next to them.
Is this related to the DST issue and bug? I'm not having time issues
since the workarounds, etc.
Another question (I haven't broken out a sniffer or did ACL logging
yet), but does anyone know the details of how NTP requests function
with these phones and the CCM server? Is the phone a NTP client
polling the CCM server every hour, the phone is registered to?
Thanks, Erick
