Craig, no problem at all. I appreciate any input.
In fact your comments have been helpful because it has made me think
more about things.
For instance you mention the possibility of leaving the second line on
the phone.
I am thinking about that as well. The idea being that if I make their
primary line the new extension, then basically move their current line
to the second line on the phone I think the clean up process might
possibly be easier at the end of the 3 month period.
The thought being if all of these phones are grouped together
correctly and I know that the second line on all phones in the group
can be removed at a certain period of time it might be possible "not
sure how to be honest" to do a mass delete of the second line.
Now if I can figure out the best way to export and import phones. I
think thats where SQL experts come in. There has to be a way to
export a list of phones say by location and be able to change the
extension within a spread sheet maybe and then import the changes
back. That is my quest now is to find out the method and the pro's
and con's for doing changes like that.
Thanks again.
