Cisco is driving this a bit and they want to deploy CCME 4.1...
Here was the solution, BTW:
!
ephone-dn 270 dual-line
number 1455
preference 1
corlist incoming call-internal
huntstop channel
no huntstop
hold-alert 30 originator
!
!
ephone-dn 271 dual-line
number 1455
preference 2
corlist incoming call-internal
huntstop channel
no huntstop
hold-alert 30 originator
!
!
ephone-dn 272 dual-line
number 1455
preference 3
corlist incoming call-internal
huntstop channel
no huntstop
hold-alert 30 originator
!
!
ephone-dn 273 dual-line
number 1455
preference 4
corlist incoming call-internal
no huntstop
hold-alert 30 originator
!
!
ephone-dn 274 dual-line
number 1455
preference 5
call-forward busy 1844
call-forward noan 1844 timeout 20
corlist incoming call-internal
huntstop channel
hold-alert 30 originator
!
And it works fine.
It ended up being a configuration error... the DN was hunting to the next
channel on the phone and then dying... you can't do the dual-line thing with
a preference and have it work.
