thanx ryan..

i agree with you..that's what i'm thinking also..

the problem is there shouldn't be any codec mismatch etc..

i have two separate systems - ccm4.1 and ccm4.2, which are configured
identically..

both using the same gatekeeper..

one of them works - ccm4.1..

another doesn't - ccm4.2..

all the device pools use g711 codec..

so, that's the reason i was asking have anybody experienced something like
that ( maybe it's a bug ) or something..

thanx..

regards..

When a call is dropped as soon as it goes to a connected state this

usually indicates a codec mismatch, or some other media establishment

error.

The fact that the call connects with no video when you use the MRGL

tells me that either an MTP or transcoder is being invoked for that

call. Since we have no MTP or Transcoders that support video, you

get audio only.

You can verify this by looking at the Perfmon counters in CCM, by

hitting the IP phone's web page and looking at the active RTP stream

(when the audio only call is up) to see the IP address it is sending

RTP to, or by examining the CCM trace.

hi to all..

has anybody experienced the following problem:

ccm4.1(3) - we have gatekeeper configured on ccm and intercluster

trunk whis is controlled via that gatekeeper ( GNU )..

there is also a route pattern for certain video calls to go from CCM

side over that intercluster trunk to TANDBERG video terminal ( which

is registred to the same GNU gatekeeper )..

the phone and the intercluster trunk are in the same device pool

( g711 )..

when user ( with IP phone and VTA ) makes a call to that video

number and succesfull video call is established..

no media resource group list are used at all..

ccm4.2(1) - the same setup as before is copied to the new CCM 4.2 in

lab..

everything is the same ( including the same gatekeeper ) but it

doesn't work..

there are two things..

if we put that device pool ( the one we're using ) uses media

resource group list a call is established but without video..

if we don't put that device pool ( the one we're using ) uses media

resource group list a call is droped as soon it is established..

does anybody have an idea about this strange behaviour..

is there something we should know about CCM4.2 or is it u bug..

regards..
