[cisco-voip] CME Call-forward question [bcc][faked-from][html-rem] [mx][html-rem]

The call forward is a temporary thing.

For example:

Joe at x1000 is out of town for a week. During this time period they
would like all his calls to go to Sally. If sally doesn't answer her
phone they want the caller to leave a VM in Sally's mailbox.

I do understand what needs to be done to translate that call coming into
the system. I was hoping for a more user friendly solution.

Thanks,

Why would you need a voice mail box for x1000, it is CFA to x1001, isn't
it? not sure I follow the call flows in this scenario.

The voicemail system is CUE. Both of those numbers (1000 and 1001) have
a VM box in unity so I don't know how you would use an alternate
extension.

Thanks,

What voice mail system? unity? cue?

In unity you can configure the alternate extension to contain 1001 in
it.

You can also translate the calling number using voice translation rules
on the cme.

The scenario:

CME 3.3

x1000 is CFA to x1001. I want the caller who called x1000 to get the
voicemail box of x1001 if x1001 doesn't answer.

Is this possible? I know in call manager you would need to create a
unique VM profile to accomplish this.

Thanks,

Jeff
