[cisco-voip] Gateway rejects call?

I had reset the GW many times in CCMAdmin, still no luck, after looking
at ccm traces I saw the gateway wasn't following the configured calling
search space, doing a config t, no mgcp, mgcp resolved the issue.
Perhaps I should have done this before spending hours looking at
this....

Remember if it's MGCP it's CM not the gateway that is rejecting the
call. Look at the CCM trace to get more info on why it is being
rejected.
I've never seen text passed in the calling party number IE before so
I can't say how CM would treat that.

Hmm, when you say "local number" , is it really sending "local number"
in text as the calling party number or digits (4 digit extension,
etc)?
If it is really sending "local number" is there a way you can
configure the calling party number to be something else on the
Castelle? If it weren't MGCP maybe you could use a translation
rule/profile to make it a legit number before it hits the call
manager.
