The unknown status is correct for H.323.  Do you have the right Calling 
Search Space(CSS) inbound on the gateway set?  Your inbound CSS should 
contain the partition that the phone(s) are in.

hi to all

I have configured an H.323 gateway with CCM 4.1. its status is shown 
Unknown in Call Manager. Another thing is that when I pick up a call, that 
is from PSTN, the call is dropped. i have checked the connectivity issues 
which are okay from either side, ccm to gateway and ip phone to ccm and 
gateway.

Note: Cisco Call Manager is running on VMVare Virtual Machine 5.
