Hi Jordi,

Agree with the mask, if changing the phone display is bad then it is not an option.

As for the rules, you can translate on the inbound dial-peer which allows you to match according to the calling number. It is done by using the 'answer-address' parameter on the dial-peer.

In that way you would have an inbound translation profile which translate the calling number before it gets to the outbound dial-peer.

If I use external phone number mask, it modifies phone display.

If I do it on the gateway, I must create a translation profile. Inside this, I can just create one outgoing translation-rule. Inside this rule, I can create 15 or 16 rules.

I don't know how can I use different dial-peers for each number. I'm talking about outgoing calls and they would choose the correct dial-peer depending on destination-pattern (called number), not depending on calling number.

The method Ted is talking about does not require separate RL, just check the use external mask on the RL and control the calling number from the line's external phone number mask.

If you still prefer to do it on the gateway, there are 10 rules per translation rule and 15 translation rules, if you would use multi rules per translation rule you can get to 150 translations per gateway.

You probably need a separate dial-peer for every phone number, so it's a lot more work then the ccm based option.

I'm looking for outbound translation rules. I would like to do this work only in the gateway without using diferent CCM and RL.

I started doing it using translation rules but I realized that you can only use 16 of them.

Its a bit unclear if you're looking for inbound or outbound
translations? If you're looking for outbound translations you can just
set the external number mask on those devices to whatever you want to
send out and then set the routelist to "Use Calling Party's External
Phone Number Mask" to "ON".  If you only want to allow this for a
couple devices and have the main number set for the rest its going to
take multiple route patterns going to  seperate RLs.
If you're looking for inbound I think you're stuck filtering it
through CRS/UCCX.
