Daniel,

My first post so please forgive any errors in format.

Looking at your hardware platform, it is consistent with a bug that I
recall reading about where upgrades will cause a hang. I can look up the
bug if you like, but if you wish to take a peek there is a download
under Callmanager Utilies (or some such) at CCO. It specifically cites
your hardware platform as being one that can be affected by periodic
hangs upon upgrade. There is a patch that can be applied to rectify the
issue. Please let me know if I need to be more specific with where to
look for the patch.

Hi,

I'm having a problem upgrading my prod publisher from v5.1.1 to
v6.0(1a). I was able to do it without any problems on my lab cluster.

I'm using the V5.x to V6.0(1a) Upgrade DVD which I used to do the lab.

When I start the upgrade, it downloads from DVD and after a while it
just hangs. Sometimes it's a 1000Mb, 800MB and even around 650MB.

I can see the CPU hit 100% and stay there. That's when it hangs.

The server is a 7825H1 with 2GB of RAM, 72GB hard drive and a 3.04GHz
CPU which meets the hardware requirement.

Anybody have this problem before?

Thanks,

Daniel.

RTMT reports that RisDC is causing Core Dumps each time I try the
upgrade.

TAC had told me to upgrade to fix the core dump issue but the upgrade is
causing dumps also. I seem to be going in circles here.

I'll have to go back to TAC I guess.
