Ted

I discussed something similar with a consultant who works on the
enterprise call centre side. He was involved in Dubai internet city's
ccm deployment with multiple tenants. I will try and get hold of him
if possible and pass some info on if he is willing to share

Subject: [cisco-voip] Tenant based Directory in CM 4.2

I've got a customer (a mall) that's providing phone services to their
clients. They are asking for a tenant based directory so that a Tenant
can pull up the global directory list JUST for that particular tenant.

Example Sears wants to goto their IP phone and ONLY wants to see the
users within Sears but not the users from say foot locker.

Short of coming up with a custom xml application for them I'm thinking
that creating a phone service that just queries the DCD based on a
field, department comes to mind. When populating users they would just
fill out Sear as the department and query based on that.

I'd prefer not "hacking" any of the xml file on CM since they'll
probably be overwritten on upgrade.

Has anyone done something similar to this before, if so how? And is
there a better way to handle it? Thanks

Ted
