[cisco-voip] CCM and QoS

Jordi,

It seems that you have things backwards.

For CCM, Unity, IPCC Express servers and your gateways you should be trusting DSCP.

For your Layer 2 connections and trunk links, you should be trusting COS.

Also, that latest version of CatIOS now supports AutoQOS (but I haven' tested it yet) if you wanted to go that route.

Matt

Subject: [cisco-voip] CCM and QoS

Hi All,

I would like anyone to answer these QoS configuration doubts, if it's possible?

I have a Headquarters office and some branch offices:

-          Headquarters:

o CCM connected to a 6500 Switch port --> What should I use?

* Mls qos trust cos <-- I'm using this one

*         Mls qos trust dscp

o Service provider Router connected to a 6500 Switch port (Layer 2 connection) --> What should I use?

*         Mls qos trust cos

* Mls qos trust dscp <-- I'm using this one

o MGCP Gateways connected to a 6500 Switch port --> What should I use?

* Mls qos trust cos <-- I'm using this one

*         Mls qos trust dscp

o Switch connected through trunk ports --> What should I use?

*         Mls qos trust cos

* Mls qos trust dscp <-- I'm using this one

-          Branch Offices:

o        H323 Gateways connected to a 3560 switch port -->What should I use?

* I'm using "auto qos voip trust"

o Service provider Router connected to a 3560 Switch port (Layer 2 connection) --> What should I use?

* I'm using "auto qos voip trust" but changing the line "mls qos trust cos" to "mls qos trust dscp"

Does CCM automatically mark signaling traffic to DSCP 24? Should I configure anything on Enterprise Parameters? I think it's not necessary to do anything but I'm not sure...

Any help will be  appreciated.

Thanks,
