Thank you Craig. That's good to know.
 
 
It turned out that this problem was caused by an incorrect CSS on the
line.
Still very odd that I could go off hook and dial it without incident??

There is an enterprise param for this.  Something along the lines of
wait for more digits on speed dial.  This is most likely set to true
