I had just assumed they were running some big cluster all spread out. CME is totally possible if they don't want to depend on WAN for ipt.
Any other obvious signs from looking at the phone that its CME?

With CME this is a very simple message to change. With CCM it is not, at least not without finding out where the source of this message is and changing it there. I'm fairly confident it's not hard coded.

Are you sure they were using CallManager and not CME? I've seen some fancy things on CME like being able to put text on the top line of the phone for department name and stuff.

I opened a TAC case about this and after some 'unofficial' support the engineer and his colleagues were not able to get this to work.

All,
I know how to and have been successful on changing the "your current options" for 7940/7960 at a 4.2.3 install.
How can I make this "customization" tweak show up on the 791x and 790x phones. (minus the 7902 of course)
