Hi everyone,

I'm just after the process for installing the Cisco FAX server with boardless FAX over IP.

I have a Cisco MCS7835 server with Windows 2003 server installed and am about to install the Fax server software.

The software is:
Cisco FAX server 9.3 (aka Captaris Right Fax)
I have the following licenses:
Cantata Boardless FAX over IP license key
Brooktrout SR140-30F license key

I have the installation documentation (from CCO which is straight from Captaris) however it is a little unclear on the exact steps required to install the software for a FOX over IP setup.

I am at the stage where I am running the Prerequisites Wizard which reports that the Exchange Connector is not installed. (The server is a blank W2K3 OS with dotnet 2.0 and IIS installed.

My question is:
Do I need to install MS Exchange and integrate with the customer's exchange cluster (and hence AD domain) before proceeding to install the RightFAX application?
Or
Can I just install the MS Exchange System Management Tools and then proceed to install the RightFAX application? Will this just install the required MAPI dll's to send emails to the customer's Exchange server? The customer would like to receive the FAX's in their email inbox.

Thanks
Dana
