I have not tried peering these two platforms together, but there are some
known issues with Shoretel's SIP Trunk implementation you may want to know
about. Most notably there are outbound CLID issues with the
Shoretel/Ingate, no Fax/Modem detection on the SIP Trunk, and no RFC3323
privacy support. Unfortunately Shoretel requires that you use the Ingate
SIParator as opposed to another b2bua like CUBE. The Ingate is licensed
based on 'number of simultaneous calls' and it starts around $1500 for 10
calls. My peer works with the Ingate/Shoretel and it seems like once you
get your head around, it's not very complicated. Definitely not as smooth
as implementing Avaya IP Office or Allworx SIP Trunking.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Shoretel/Cisco Intergration
I have a customer that is wanting to integrate their CM6.1 w/ their Shoretel
that is at their corporate office in another state. They are wanting to use
a SIP trunk in order to connect them. Has anyone successfully integrated
these two systems together using SIP trunks or a T1?
