I have CUCM6-BE, running under VMware in our LAB, RH enterprise server 4, w. 2G RAM and a 72GB HDD, as with CM5.x it detected VMware and advised it was not a support platform etc.. and then it just installed and started without problem, I have since ran the 6.1/2.1 upgrade on it without problem as well, no idea why your having trouble

Anyone else have any input on this?

Subject: [cisco-voip] Cisco UCM Business Edition

Does anyone know if UCMB has the same starter licenses as UCM? For a lab trial, I attempted to install UCMB in VMWare Workstation 6.02 using the UCM 6.01(a) DVD and selecting the Business Edition. Just after it gets past the Unity Connection 2.0 portion, it errors out. I've tried this with two different UCM discs, so my hunch is it's either not VMWare friendly or I'm doing something wrong. I've setup VMWare to use 80GB, Red Hat Linux 3 and 4 (tried both), and 6GB of memory. The error message I receive in Anaconda is "Unity installation failed. RPM returned 13. The system will now hault." My Cisco SE has never tried installing UCMB so he's not sure is UCMB will work in VMWare.

Thanks,
Mark
