Can you (generally speaking) use the same server hardware for 4.X CCM as
6X?

The hardware requirements don't necessarily matter - is the server (in
it's exact configuration) listed in the customer-provided server
documentation on Cisco's site? If it's not, the hardware detection is
going to fail.
