[cisco-voip] Unity memory leak

I've yet to see an actual memory leak in Unity, but I've sure seen
plenty of folks who thought that SQL had one. SQL can easily fool you
into thinking you've got a memory problem, as it'll expand to take
pretty well as much memory as it can get, but it hands it back over to
any other processes looking for it.

If they're observing trouble accessing exchange via outlook as well as
troubles via TUI (delays, I assume?), it sounds like they're pointing
the blame arrow in the wrong direction, Exchange is slowing down Unity.
Outside of high CPU, all of the delays I've seen via TUI have been
attributed to the exchange server. If this is happening frequently
enough, try shutting down one to see the effect on the other. Do the
exchange problems go away if Unity is down? Do the Unity problems go
away if exchange is down?

If you (or the customer) are really worried about a memory leak, get
some data, what process does taskmon say is using all of the memory?
Turn on perfmon counters so you can chart it over time. Easier still,
use the CUPID service, which will turn on all the basic perfmon counters
for the system as well as each Unity and Exchange process, and output it
to CSV.
