[cisco-voip] CUPS 6 and UCM 5.x

Matt,

 

I've installed CUPS 6.0.1 with UCM 5.1.3.  The ONLY place I could find
documentation identifying UCM version support was in the CUPS 6 install
guide, where it states:

 

. Ensure that the associated Cisco Unified Communications Manager server is
running software

Release 5.1(1) or later.

I thought I remembered reading at some point that you could not use CUPS 6
with UCM 5, but I can't seem find any information on CCO regarding CUPS
compatibility with any version.

 

I've only deployed CUPS 1.x with UCM 5 and CUPS 6 with UCM 6, but I've been
asked if I can just upgrade CUPS from 1.0 to 6.0 without upgrading CCM.  

 

Also, for the Cisco folks out there, is there any particular reason that
CUPS is missing from the Compatibility Matrix?
