hello scott
first of all , you have to upgrade your ata firmware to H.323 image ( you will find it on cisco.com) , to do this upgrade , you need an analog telephone connected to the FXS (phone 1) port of the ata & follow the IVR . also a computer attached to the ata using cross cable so u can load the h.323 image to the ata using some DOS commands , after finishing your upgrade , your ata is now an h.323 endpoint so you can register it with a gatekeeper easily.
hope this is useful

how do you register an ATA that has been changed to H323 to CM 4.1? I've always ran SCCP on ATA's so sorry for the beginner question.
I tried to do new phone --> H323. Do I put the IP address in for the device name?
Thanks
Scott
