[cisco-voip] CUE 3.1 Upgrade question

I'm in the planning stages of upgrading a CUE 3.0 to 3.1 to try and
resolve some voicemail issues.

 

In the Cisco 3.1 upgrade documentation there are 2 ways to upgrade.

(1):A new 'clean' install with a backup and restore of the existing
data, and the other way is (2): A upgrade without a backup/restore.

 

For the notes for (1) it says for versions earlier than 2.3.4 or from
3.0.1 and 3.0.2.

For (2) it says it is to upgrade 2.3.4 with no mention of anything
3.x.x.

 

Does option (2) support the upgrade from 3.x.x.?

Has anyone tried/tested this?
