on the syslog server side -- not sure what you can use but I know that
some billing partners like Unison Galactrix etc claim they can now do
CME billing. Apparently in conjunction with probably syslog and maybe
some gateway accounting etc. Might be worthwhile checking it out.
There is another very basic product ... billy from Stonevoice ... sold
via westcon in the states as far as I know. Stonevoice has a couple of
CME add on items and they were not difficult with demo licences so
that you can try the product out when I contacted them. One drawback
is that the billing solutions might be limited when you have complex
tarrif structures etc like with Telkom SA Ltd but with a bit of tuning
and making your own tarrif prefixes you should be able to get fairly
accurate billing info

Subject: [cisco-voip] CDR's on CME
I need to get CDR's for a client with CME. I know one should do this
with syslog. I did a test today with 3CDaemon as my syslog server, but
after about 5 entries into my log file, it just adding entries. I
guessed it was 3CDaemon that was causing this. I tried some other
freeware syslog server, but none of them is worth anything. Anyone
that can suggest any proper syslog server software I can download or
give me any hints on how to get my 3CDaemon working properly? I would
also appreciate if someone have a proper procedure on doing this.
