Hi all,
I have this niggly cosmetic issue that I am trying to get rid of as I am
sure it will cause issues in operations so I thought I would ask the
experts here what they think?
I have the following topology:
CM ----> H.323 Trunk GK1 ---> DGK ---> GK2 ---> H.323 Trunk GK1 ---> CME
Now when a call originates from the CM cluster to the CME cluster, I see
the call as 16kbps as I should:
uk-lab-ipt-gk1#sh gatekee call
Total number of active calls = 1.
GATEKEEPER CALL INFO
====================
LocalCallID Age(secs) BW
19-32942 4 16(Kbps)
Endpt(s): Alias E.164Addr
src EP: GK1-Trunk_1 1201
CallSignalAddr Port RASSignalAddr Port
10.200.6.2 42549 10.200.6.2 34668
Endpt(s): Alias E.164Addr
dst EP: 1702
CallSignalAddr Port RASSignalAddr Port
10.200.6.235 1720 10.200.6.235 1720
uk-lab-ipt-gk1#
uk-lab-ipt-gk2#sh gatekeep call
Total number of active calls = 1.
GATEKEEPER CALL INFO
====================
LocalCallID Age(secs) BW
53-32942 2 16(Kbps)
Endpt(s): Alias E.164Addr
src EP: 1201 1201
Endpt(s): Alias E.164Addr
dst EP: 1702
CallSignalAddr Port RASSignalAddr Port
10.200.6.235 1720 10.200.6.235 61701
uk-lab-ipt-gk2#
BUT, when the call originates from the CME cluster going to the CM
cluster, the gatekeeper output on GK1 states it is 128kbps (G.711a)
whilst for GK2, it states its 16kbps as expected.
uk-lab-ipt-gk1#sh gatekee call
Total number of active calls = 1.
GATEKEEPER CALL INFO
====================
LocalCallID Age(secs) BW
20-46999 6 128(Kbps)
Endpt(s): Alias E.164Addr
src EP: 1702
Endpt(s): Alias E.164Addr
dst EP: GK1-Trunk_1 1201
CallSignalAddr Port RASSignalAddr Port
10.200.6.2 42549 10.200.6.2 34668
uk-lab-ipt-gk1#
uk-lab-ipt-gk2#sh gatekeep call
Total number of active calls = 1.
GATEKEEPER CALL INFO
====================
LocalCallID Age(secs) BW
54-46999 8 16(Kbps)
Endpt(s): Alias E.164Addr
src EP: 1702
CallSignalAddr Port RASSignalAddr Port
10.200.6.235 1720 10.200.6.235 61701
Endpt(s): Alias E.164Addr
dst EP: 1201
CallSignalAddr Port RASSignalAddr Port
10.200.6.2 42549 10.200.6.2 42549
uk-lab-ipt-gk2#
I checked the stats on both phones and they are both G.729 in both
directions.
A debug H.245 ASN1 on the CME shows G.729 only.
For all intents and purposes it is working as it should BUT the output
is wrong and I have a feeling it's the CM.
Any insight appreciated.
Regards,
H
