Why would a conflicting pattern be the problem? Wouldn't the interdigit
timeout timer kick in if 2 patterns matched the first 4 digits? I hear the
message as soon as I enter the 5th digit.
Besides, if I don't used the "!" wildcard and use the "x" wildcards, it
works just fine.
