3rd party products handle the MWI for you.. you would just have to factor
this in..

Loving Cisco myself, but if you look at Unity UM - it's backend is Exchange
and AD. So it would definitely make sense to see a more "Unified" solution..
where front and back end are the same manufacturer... and you dont run into
any funny moments where you are waiting for 1 party to certify the other...

There is a good gartner report that discusses Exch 2007 as UM solution.

Of course the first thing I would think about is how many users.. and
whether you really need Unified Messaging....
And do you need Unified Messaging for everybody?

No reason you cant run a standard voicemail solution, and also have an
advanced option for people that really require the Unified solution.

Unity connection is great for dedicated voicemail, plus a few fruity
extras... and I believe some basic resilience is on the way in version 7.
This was probably the main thing it was lacking. But as the CUCM appliance
model.. it is nice and simple to manage.
