Subject: [cisco-voip] Faxing over SIP Trunk

 

We are having some issues with faxing over a SIP trunk, the setup is
Nortel CS1000 > SIP Trunk > CUCM 6.1. All outbound calls from the CS1000
are routed to go out of a gateway connected to the CUCM, phone calls are
fine but faxes are working, the calls are getting to the gateway and you
hear the fax machine answer and get fax tone for about a second then it
cuts off. The debug on the gateway shows normal call clearing and no
errors.

 

Does anyone have any experience of this sort of set up? or any useful
troubleshooting tips.
