Well shiver me timbers and call me George! According to this, it's an IE add-on and it has one for Firefox as well. I guess it must have something similar for email or the add-on does that too.
You could always get a skype gateway... ;)

The reason I was hoping this was available is because the free download of Skype has this capability. I installed Skype at home to be able to see my nephew on a web cam. After the install I noticed all phone numbers, whether in email or web pages, now show up with a clickable box around them. Of course, when you click it, it dials via the Skype application and you get charged a per minute rate, but, never the less, it works. The Skype application must be scanning the HTML looking for phone number formats, i.e. 7, 10 or 11 numeric digits in a row then inserting the proper HTML to make it clickable to dial via Skype. I noticed it recognizes all phone number formats too, i.e. (216) 555-1212 or 216-555-1212 or 216.555.1212. Someone out there must have the skills to write this using the Cisco SDK.

I'm not sure you're gonna find this. Somehow that text has to be "marked up" or "parsed" and that is application independant. The easiest way would be to deploy webdialer and then cut and paste into webdialer. You can make things easier by added a "dial-me" link in your applications but I don't think it would be that easy with email.
I know that Zimbra (something we are looking at) is supposed to be able to parse text and mark them up with use of Zimlets, so you could possibly parse out a phone number and have it clickable.
But if you are looking at one plug in to catch all text in any application, I just don't think it's possible, let alone available.

Does anyone know of a plug-in that is written to support Click to Dial any phone number found in any application? For example; a phone number in the signature portion of an email or one listed on a web site.
I am aware of the TSP integration with Outlook contacts that is not what I need.
