Some of them are, some of them are not. CER is an E911 application which allows you to send out the correct ERL/ELIN based on the location of a phone which is periodically updated by switchpolling. It also gives dynamic callback numbers mapped to extensions. Very powerful stuff. I believe CER can give you calling alert as well.

Would these be an alternative to the CER server concept?

IPCelerate is the company. IPSession is the 911 alerting and IPMonitor is the monitoring package. They are both appliances.

Cistera has something similar which I am also checking out, but I'm not sure it has the monitoring functionality.

What is the company/product name? Does it require its own server?

We had a demo of theirs and it wasn't one key monitoring. It required jotting down the extension of the alert and then starting up the monitoring service, searching for that extension and then monitoring.

    Do you see something different?

IPcelerate's IPsession product has this feature, we just got it up and running, works great.

Does anyone know of a solution for 911 alerting AND monitoring?

I'd like to be able to trigger an alert and allow one-key monitoring of the 911 call.
