[cisco-voip] BARS Application Update Question

WOW. That's sounds like loads of fun. Thanks for the info.
I have been in the telecom industry for a long time. When doing work on
things, I seem to have two ends of the spectrum when it comes to
projects.
Good End: All goes well, back at home and in bed early.
Bad End: Hey, I was just doing an update on a server. That could not
possibly have crashed the entire corporate network.
I try real hard to stay on the Good End half of the spectrum.

If you install BARS through remote desktop you will blow up your
publisher... it is possible to get it back by uninstalling bars from
the console and rebooting, but we have had to rebuild publishers
because customers did this...
I am not sure about the technical reason for it (something about files
being updated and in use by RD....) but don't do it.
