Although the CCVP focuses on Enterprise Systems, the basis behind Telephony in Converged Networks is the same. The only thing that changes is The Actual Hardware. Things like QoS, Gatekeepers, Voice Gateways will always inherently exist in any type of VoIP networks, whether for a SP or an enterprise. Keep working on your CCVP and you will have a solid foundation should you ever move into a Carrier environment.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Cisco Voice Track In Service Provider Side

Friends,

I am with a cisco partner and worked on project that include voip and ipt. So i decided to go for ccvp. Till now i have secured two ccvp exams and focused on other three. My question is: cisco voice equipment is being developed and used for enterprises, office like callmanagers, unity, ip phones its but what about voice involvement in service provider network means in core networks. Will voice equipment will integrated and merge in service providers?? By service providers i mean ISPs, Telecom companies etc. could a ccvp or ccie voice certified get job in these companies in near future???

Please need your comments........

Best Regards
