[cisco-voip] DMA into VMware

What version of CUCM are you DMAing from?
I've had issues in the past doing the same thing..usually ends up being something in the DB of the DMA'd machine that is causing the issue. I would try to load in in VMWare server so that perhaps you can use the USB functionality to grab the logs, as I'm assuming you are trying this in ESX/GSX.

Is there any benefit to setting up a Call Handler instead of a Voice
Mailbox with caller input options?

i can think of more disadvantages than advantages. one advantage is that it
doesn't take up a licence as far as i know.

A Call Handler won't eat a VM or UM user license.
IMHO, a Mailbox is far easier to change recorded name and greeting. Less user training.

Has anyone successfully restored there DMA into a VMware server for
testing purposes?
It keeps failing on me. a straight install of CM 6.1 is fine, but when
I do it with the DMA if fails. The DMA was successful but I'm having
problems trying to get the failure messages as the usb key is not picked
up by the VM.
any thoughts?
Thanks
Scott

I have a client that I am installing UCM 6.0 for and they are implementing A Nurse Call Back system that will communicate to my Call Manager with 6 analog lines in a hunt group. Has anyone implemented a solution similar to this? I need some insight in how the this system has to connect to the Call Manager. I am going to be connecting the six lines to a VG224. Any information on the integration of Rauland to UCM would be helpful.

I don't have the link but Cisco has published a document specifically
aimed at that Rauland-Borg integration. It was written for CM 4.x but I
doubt anything has changed that drastically. I used it as a guide to
integrate with a Dukane nurse call system. It worked great with only
minor modifications. Should work for you with fewer mods (or none?)
