No. ATAs do not support fax relay. The ATA needs to be in a region that
supports G711. In that situation, I usually create a special device pool
for the ATAs.

An ATA-186 and PRI gateway are in separate regions, so the voice codec
is g729.  Can the ATA still send a fax?
