[cisco-voip] Phone proxy interface to CM?

I have Phone proxy setup in my network.  I understand the device is EoS as
the ASA is going to take this functioallity in ver 8.0.4 but What is the
interface to CM?  AXL?  I'm planning our CM upgrade from CM 4.1 to 6.1 and
I'm finding little to NO docs that really help me.  do I upgrade CM and
everthing will be fine?
