resource selection is covered in the CM SDI traces.
for mrg/mrgl any device that is not in a specific MRG is available to
all users on the system. similar to the 'none' partition for digit
analysis. Some recent testing by a colleague here:
Testing with
Pub MOH Server Multicast enabled
Source 1 Multicast enabled
Source 2 Unicast enabled
Test1
MRG multicast enabled
MRGL with one MRG
Multicast works, Unicast results in Tone on HOld
Appears to be trying to allocate multicast for source 2, which fails.
Test2
MRG 1 multicast enabled
MRG 2 no multicast, containing Sub MOH server without multicast enabled
MRGL containing MRG1, then MRG2
Both multicast and unicast work.
Test3
MRG1 multicast enabled, containing both multicast MOH server and unicast
MOH server
MRGL containing MRG1
Multicast works, Unicast results in Tone on Hold
Test4
MRG1 multicast enabled, containing multicast MOH server
MRG2 no multicast, containing same multicast enabled MOH server
Both multicast and unicast work.
There is an aspect of source selection to this as well, take a look at
