[cisco-voip] Inter Cluster Shared Lines

CFA won't work because forwarding settings are ignored when a call is routed
to a DN via hunt list/line group.

Other than just registering the shared lines to to the same cluster (really
sccp doesn't take a ton of bandwidth) the remote destination route is what
you'll have to do.

Another option would be to send the call to some application that makes an
outbound call to both destinations and bridges in whichever one that answers
with the caller.

Right, we use DN's not associated to phones that CFA to other numbers
(albeit not to a different cluster). That's not the exact setup you're going
for but I think the rest should just fall into place

Make sure when you create a DN with it not being tied to a device that the
"Active" option is selected.

I have tried it.

If the line isn't associated with a device you get a fast busy. If you
associate it with a device and have CFA set to a line on a different
cluster, it rings only on the local device and mot the remote cluster - Even
though when you ring the line normally, it will forward to the remote
cluster with no issues.

Ok how about using dummy phones then.

Thanks for that.

I don't think you can add CTI Route Points to Line Groups (to use in Hunt
Groups) but if I am wrong then please let me know.

Just a thought not sure if it would actually work but could you set up Route
Points with the CFA set to the number on the New Cluster then make the route
points members of a broadcast hunt group?

Are you able to use shared lines across clusters on UCM 6.1.2?

IE If I have a Dn 5555 which rings across multile phones simultaneously
wihtin a single cluster at present (UCM4.1) , if I change to separate
clusters (due to location and bandwidth requirements) when I migrate to UCM
6.1.2 can this still be achieveable?

If not then does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can utilise a
"hotline"number for all users across multile clusters?

Thanks

Chris
