I am upgrading a 3-server-cluster of 4.2.3 to 6.1.2. All users are using
Extension Mobility and are logged in. I was running DMA and got my
tar-file. I was installing 6.1.2 and after some time the installation
stopped and the install log files told me that a procedure wanted to log
out all users but could not. I logged off all users in the 4.2.3 system
(server is in my lab) and let the DMA run again. With that tar-file i
was able to complete the installation of 6.1.2 So my question is: For
future upgrades, do i have to log off all users before i run the DMA
file or should this upgrade also works with users logged in? If it
should work with users logged in, are the users also logged in after the
upgrade, because obvioulsy the upgrade process is trying to log off all
users during database installation?
