[cisco-voip] Phone Inventory

Hi all,
 
I'm looking to collect information from all my IP phones in order to
inventory all phones and record serial numbers, etc.  I can export the
list of phones easily enough from CM and then script connecting to http
and extracting the serial number info from the resulting html.  This is
messy and requires a different search for each phone model.
 
Does anyone know of a better way to do this or perhaps some existing
software that might help?
