Hi Zoltan
It a BRI connection.
I need both solutions because I have two different UC520 one who want to completely hide the number and one who like different CallerID depending on which user that is making the call??
The provider does support it but don't have any prefix to hide the number with!!

Hi Andreas,
You didn't mention (or I missed it), what connection do you have to the PSTN? Analogue? BRI? PRI?
Also, do you want to hide your callerID comepletely (CIDR) or you want some different CallerID to appear (like the first number in a range for all outgoing calls).
You could also try asking you provider, if they even support hiding the CallerID, and if yes, what digits you need to send to do this (for example, my mobile operator can hide your callerID, if you prefix the call with #31# if I recall correctly)
regards,
Zoltan

Hi
Paul, I'm not quite sure of what you meen by "deprecated translation commands"??
And I've tried to make some translation-rules that should be correct, regarding number of digits. No matter what I try it shows the same number.
What can I do?
Best regards

First you have to find out how many digits the LEC is expecting from you then you have to setup a translation pattern on the box to make sure you send them the <n> digits they're asking for.
Also make sure you're not trying to use the deprecated translation commands.
Paul

Subject: [cisco-voip] Problem with hiding shown number??
Hi
I've a UC520 and I need to hide my outgoing number so that those who I'm calling can't see my number. I thought that it was done with a translation-rule but I can't get it to work.
How can I make this function?
Best regards
