[cisco-voip] Transcoder question

Hi peter, thanks a lot for your suggestions, I made these changes and the results were:

Without the changes:

-          From the IP Phone, when I call a cell-phone through the Teles iGATE and I press twice the "?" button, I see that TX counter is incrementing but the RX not

-          The codec used is g729.

-          The H323 gateway (Teles iGATE) has MTP required checked.

-          The call is dropped after one ring.



With the changes:

-          From the IP Phone, when I call a cell-phone through the Teles iGATE and I press twice the "?" button, I see that TX and RX counter is incrementing

-          The codec used is g729.

-          Only the H323 gateway (Teles iGATE) has MTP required checked. (If I uncheck the MTP required, no cell-phone calls can be established).

-          The call is still dropped.

Now, if I put the Hardware_MRG first and the Software_MRG second in my MRGL, I can't initiate a cell-phone call yet. I think that it is a transcoder problem only or a mistake in Router configuration. But I upgrade/downgrade IOS version and I compare the configuration with other sites.
If you have any other suggestion, please let me know.

David,
   I see that transcoding profile 10 has only annex a and a&b variants
of g.729 enabled. for troubleshooting purposes, would you please add

 codec g729r8
 codec g729br8

to that profile as well? also, please look at your service parameters
and search for the word "strip" - im looking for the value of the SP
that says where annex b is on or off. it should be something like
"strip silence suppression" or "strip annex-b"

Please ensure that the _hardware_ MRG is at the _top_ of the MRGL.
That is imperative - It doesn't sound that that's been done thus far
