Thanks Pat,
unfortunately for the was nothing in the location table at all - just
blank!?.... I didn't check in the registry (didn't know it was there -
could have searched for it but brain was fried already it seems).
I did a rebuild of the database (advised by HTTS). Ended up redoing the
integration as well for some reason... (!?)
Now the really interesting thing is, that afterwards the ID in the
global location table in the SQL database on the primary server got
screwed! So had to copy and paste the id from the location table into
the global location table which fixed (credits go to HTTS again - thx
guys).
I am still seeing errors on the queue reader - but I won't do another
type of
[exec sp_subscription_cleanup @publisher =
"<primary-servername", at publisher_db = "UnityDb", @publication =
"unityDbPublication"]
Until HTTS confirms a million times that it won't screw the secondary
over again (despite the fact that this time we will have the right
entries to quickly fix it if needed)
I have no idea though how the ID for the primary got screwed over when
the failover partner came online (online as in replication SQL) - the
SQL replication is one way...
Anyway, so far so good - I can failover and even MWI is working
instantly now after the failover ;)
Thanks for your 2cents, I'll remember this one for sure ;) If wanted I
can post if the second attempt of the sp_subscription_cleanup worked.
Even though I can call it doesn't show up when searching for it under
the stored procedures (!?)
Cheers
Thorsten
